At the start of each season, you draw three cards and choose one: an opportunity, a setback, or a family dilemma. Every choice changes the resources you carry into the next season — food, gold, and morale — and winter keeps coming. This is a game idea I've been thinking about for a long time. Frostpunk is one of my inspirations for its cruel decisions, where every option comes at a cost. I want that pressure to run through the whole game, not just appear during a big event. A good harvest is never a guarantee of safety, and the family's needs keep changing as the years pass. The free demo is playable in your browser and also has an optional Windows download. It includes a tutorial, Easy and Normal difficulties, seasonal trading, family events, and a family tree that follows the generations. There is no year cap, so the farm can continue past year 12. It supports six languages and accessibility options including text size, reduced motion, and high contrast.
