Built a complete web browser game with Claude in 3 days, using Claude's headless self-testing, asset generation, and overnight debugging.

Hey everyone, I wanted to share a browser-based "tidy-up" game about cleaning up spaces that I built entirely using Claude over about 3 days. Everything in the game—from the initial repository setup to the code and visual assets—was handled by Claude (the only exception being the music). Since it’s hosted directly in the browser, anyone can jump in and play instantly with zero setup or downloads: https://play.unity.com/en/games/11cc086e-edb8-497d-a97f-8dca690d68c9/build-web-release Here is a look at the technical setup, how we tackled asset creation, and an overnight automated debugging workflow that worked surprisingly well: 1. Unity Integration & Asset Generation Unity CLI over MCP: Rather than using the retired Unity MCP, all development was driven through direct integration via the Claude CLI. I had Claude spin up the initial repository from scratch. Evolving Assets: At first, asset creation was limited to generating objects off basic prefabs. Eventually, Claude figured out how to create and import FBX files , allowing us to construct much more complex and interesting 3D shapes for the cleanup levels. Entirely Claude Opus 5.5 on Claude CLI (95% xhigh effort) 2. The Automated Self-Testing & Overnight Bug-Fixing Loop When hitting trickier issues, I set up a loop where Claude could test and evaluate its own work: Headless Browser Execution: Claude spun up a headless browser, played the game, took screenshots of the live viewport, and diagnosed visual/gameplay issues based on what it saw. Overnight Shader Fix: At one point, I let the agent run uninterrupted overnight for 6 hours to diagnose and fix a stubborn shader issue. Token Resilience: When it hit the token limit, it simply halted cleanly, waited until the limit reset, and picked right back up where it left off. I woke up to a fully fixed shader and a clean build. 3. Looking for Testers & Honest Feedback My goal is to continue polishing this into a commercial release, but right now I need real players to stress-test it and tell me what works and what doesn't. Since it runs in the browser, you can try it immediately right here: https://play.unity.com/en/games/11cc086e-edb8-497d-a97f-8dca690d68c9/build-web-release I would love your brutally honest feedback on: Bugs & Technical Issues: Did anything break or feel clunky in your browser? Gameplay & Experience: How does the core cleanup mechanic feel? Is it satisfying? Direction: What features, levels, or mechanics would you like to see added before a full release? (Check out the 1-minute video demo above/attached to see it in action!) Happy to answer any questions about the CLI setup, the FBX pipeline, or the headless browser feedback loop in the comments! submitted by /u/StitchAndChill to r/BuildWithClaude [link] [comments]
