# The Last Lighthouse

The Last Lighthouse - hold back the fog with a single beam of light (free demo, plays in browser)

## Description

The Last Lighthouse is a pixel-art roguelite defense game set on a tiny island in the Aegean. Every night the fog rises and creatures crawl out of the sea from both sides. Your lighthouse beam is your main weapon: hold the left mouse button and sweep it across the waves to burn them, but keep an eye on your oil. Three spells (fireball, a stunning bell and a storm) help when the tide turns. At the harbor each dawn you hire a small crew of oarsmen, harpooners, netters, lamplighters and gunners who fight on their own while you aim the light. After every night you pick one of three Dawn cards that shape your run, and between runs you spend pearls on a fog-covered skill tree with 100 nodes. The free demo covers the first five nights, ending with the first boss, The Deep Mother. Controls: hold left mouse to aim the beam · Q / E / R spells · A / D move camera.

I designed and built the game in Godot, with AI assistance for code and art. Sound effects are from Kenney (CC0). I'd love feedback on: Was it clear what to do in the first minute? Could you read what was happening during fights? How did the difficulty feel by night 5? submitted by /u/pyrumar to r/playmygame [link] [comments]
