About this game
Tempora is a free, open-source browser life simulator set across roughly twelve thousand years, from 10,000 BC to a far-future era. You choose where and when to be born, then live one year at a time, and can continue through your children, relatives or acquaintances. The world simulates all inhabitants: settlements grow and are abandoned, farming and copper spread on historical dates, migrations shift ancestry, and governments fall or declare wars. Characters have inherited genetics, personality traits, social class, fame and family. Play covers school and careers, marriage and children, courts and inheritance, sports and politics, with communication that changes over eras from letters to phones to social media and neural chat. It runs as a single HTML file that also works offline and installs as an app on phone or desktop; no ads and no account required.
