About this game
Ascend: Journey Beyond the Clouds is a physics-based precision platformer demo. The player controls Zeo, a golden cube travelling to reach the Sun; there is no traditional jumping, and movement relies on slingshot physics: pull, aim and release to launch through the air. The free demo contains three stages with hazards such as strong wind currents, slippery ice walls and fragile breaking platforms. It offers two modes: Casual, with checkpoints, and Hardcore, which returns the player to the start after a mistake. A guided aim option shows the trajectory before launching, and collecting 10 Star Coins activates a slow-motion effect for mid-air corrections. The demo is playable directly in the browser and also supports PC and mobile controls.
