About this game
Hearthsea is a Catan-style board game that runs in the browser. It has 59 islands; the boards are 3D, built in three.js from map data. The rules, bots and music are code, while the portraits, card art and trophy statuettes come from an image model (GPT Image), with rigged character sprites painted at 1024×1536 on transparent backgrounds. The newest bot, the Admiral, looks ahead at how each choice plays out and wins about 31% of games against three older Veteran bots, which win about 23.5%. Classic, Seafarers and Cities & Knights are free; some islands need a pass. The author states the game is not affiliated with CATAN GmbH.
