# HD-2D polar bear birthday adventure

An HD-2D adventure game made as a birthday gift: a polar bear travels through 8 cities to recover 8 "little eyes" that hold the world's joy, each city offering a different minigame, followed by 8 boss fights against an evil broccoli and a surprise birthday party. Built with Claude Code and raw WebGL2, with art generated in code.

## Description

Instead of a birthday card, the developer made their friend a game. The player controls a polar bear who travels through 8 cities to get back the 8 "little eyes" that hold the world's joy; each city contains a different minigame. At the end an evil broccoli steals them all, and the player must win 8 boss fights to get them back, after which a surprise birthday party awaits. It was built with Claude Code and raw WebGL2, with no engine, and even the art is generated in code.

## Original post

Instead of a birthday card, Claude and I built her an entire HD-2D adventure game

My friend's birthday was coming up, so instead of a card I made her a game. She's a polar bear who travels through 8 cities to get back the 8 "little eyes" that hold the world's joy, with a different minigame in each one. Then, right at the end, an evil broccoli steals them all She has to beat him in 8 boss fights to win them back... and then a surprise birthday party is waiting for her. Built with Claude Code and raw WebGL2. No engine, and even the art is generated in code. Happy to answer questions! submitted by /u/rubenrb02 to r/aigamedev [link] [comments]
