About this game
DOOM-PYTHON is a small first-person raycasting shooter written in Python with Pygame. The player moves with WASD and mouse look, switches between pistol, shotgun, chaingun and plasma rifle, reloads, and shoots four colored ghost enemies that wander and chase through the levels. Maps are plain ASCII grids that can be added in maps/custom_maps.py and picked from an in-game selector, and weapon stats, colors, field of view and enemy behavior are adjusted in config.py. It runs from source with pip install pygame-ce followed by python run.py; a GitHub Pages link is also given for playing in the browser.
