# To Be A God

To Be A God is a free browser roguelite auto-battler by a solo developer, inspired by the manhwa Pick Me Up. Heroes fight on their own, but you can throw them, issue orders, or possess one to fight manually; permadeath makes every loss permanent, and the hero pool is designed to scale toward 100,000 generated heroes with different looks, combat styles, quirks and personalities.

## Description

Playable for free on itch.io: https://lacyan.itch.io/to-be-a-god

The developer describes it as a roguelite auto-battler with a roster of 2,000+ heroes, inspired by the manhwa Pick Me Up. Combat runs autonomously, but the player can throw heroes, issue orders, or possess a hero and fight manually. Heroes have distinct combat behaviours and permadeath means a lost hero is gone for good. A hero-generation pipeline is built to scale toward 100,000 heroes with varied appearances, combat styles, quirks and personalities. The developer states the game was built over four months using Claude Code for systems and workflow, local AI models, ComfyUI for sprites and assets, and Blender through MCP for buildings and environments; the trailer was also AI-made. The game is completely free.

## Original post

Claude Code helped me build an entire game development pipeline in 4 months. Even the trailer was made with AI. (Free game)

Play for free: https://lacyan.itch.io/to-be-a-god Four months ago, I started making a game inspired by my favorite manhwa, Pick Me Up . I'm a solo dev, and I now have a playable roguelite with 2,000+ heroes. The crazy part? Claude Code helped me set up and operate practically the entire pipeline. Development: Claude Code helped build the game and its systems. Local AI: Helped set up local models and the generation workflow. ComfyUI: Operated through Claude for generating sprites and assets. Blender: Used through MCP to create buildings and environments. Trailer: Also made with AI. The game itself is an auto-battler where heroes fight autonomously, but you can throw them, issue orders, or possess them and fight manually. Heroes have distinct combat behaviors, and permadeath means losing one is permanent. I've also built a hero-generation pipeline designed to scale toward 100,000 heroes with different appearances, combat styles, quirks, and personalities. Honestly, four months ago, coordinating all these tools would've been overwhelming for me alone. Having Claude help operate the whole workflow made this project possible at a scale I wouldn't have attempted otherwise. The game is completely free. I'd love to hear what other Claude users think, especially those using Claude Code with local models and external tools. submitted by /u/R3dNaX7 to r/ClaudeAI [link] [comments]
